For a photo shoot in the iris fields, Isparta is a paradise for photo shoots. Especially in June and July, when irises, roses, and lavender bloom in succession.
How much does a photo shoot in irises cost?
In my native Ukraine, one hour of a photo shoot in a beautiful field of irises or lavender cost 10-20-30 dollars. But that’s not how it works in Antalya. There are many fields here and they are all free for photo shoots. The main thing that iris moguls are waiting for is you.
They will be glad you came, because here you can eat good food or buy a souvenir. Of course, it’s all optional, but even I buy something every time.
Where are the fields of irises?
The flower fields of irises for photo shoots are to the north of Antalya, near the town of Isparta. It’s not close. About 2-2.5 hours by car.
There are different villages with different farmers growing several different flowers: irises, roses and lavender. The most famous villages where the most beautiful iris fields bloom are:
- Kuyudjak
- Chukuryonen
- Kushchular
- Yeshilyurt
Also, fields of iris flowers are available in other regions of Turkey. However, I do not recommend these fields to my clients. If you’re looking for iris, yay to Isparta!
How do you get to the iris fields?
It depends on your comfort level. If you have your own car in Turkey, you can get to the iris field on your own (I’ll send you the link on the map).
However, it is not easy to bring and use a car in Turkey. And sometimes it’s not possible for everyone; (For details, see the nuances of using cars with foreign license plates in Turkey).
Therefore, periodically, during the blooming of irises, I organize a minibus transfer, when several people gather together for a photo session.
Of course, you don’t always have the opportunity to join a group. That’s the case when we can go by my car.
I think the minibus option is preferable. It’s cheaper, more fun, and the photographer isn’t as tired before the photo shoot 😉
Where to rent a dress for a photo shoot in irises?
We rent dresses for photo shoots from rental companies. Purple, yellow and white dresses go well with iris flowers.
Dress rentals are available in Antalya, usually we choose a dress before the photo shoot and take it with us to Isparta. One day after the photo shoot, the dress is handed over to the rental company.
For the more daring models, a photo shoot in purple or yellow underwear is very beautiful.
When does iris bloom in Isparta?
Iris blooms at different times in different regions of Turkey. The longest you can catch it is in Isparta. Here it blooms tentatively in June. Later, tentatively in June-July, fields of roses bloom here, and then fields of lavender.

There are three kinds of plants blooming in a row in Isparta:

- Then the roses bloom (tentatively in June-July).
